Program Coordinator of Communication (12 month)
Fayetteville Technical Community College invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator of Communication.
The Communication Department is home to a dynamic group of faculty who are visible and engaged on campus beyond their scheduled courses. In their office area, Communication faculty have established The Communication Station, which is open to FTCC students, faculty, and staff on a drop-in or appointment basis. The Communication Station offers assistance with and coaching for any tasks involving speaking, presenting, or interviewing. Faculty are also actively involved in collaborations with other departments and campus areas when creating learning communities or other initiatives. Signature events include FayTechTalks, a high school speaking competition held each spring, and the Pathways to Success Leadership Conference, planned and hosted annually by Communication faculty.
Building on this strong foundation, the Program Coordinator for Communication will provide academic leadership, program coordination, and faculty support within this vibrant department.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for leading the department in curriculum development, student advisement, faculty mentorship, and community outreach, ensuring that the department aligns with the college’s educational mission and meets the diverse needs of its students.

The current teaching load for this position is 15 hours each fall and spring semester and 9 hours each summer semester (reduced load during the fall and spring semesters).
All interviews will be conducted on our Fayetteville, NC, campus.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Communication or Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Communication.
- Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must possess skills in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Applicants not meeting this minimum requirement will not be considered for this position.
- Teaching experience at a community college or four-year college. On-line teaching experience in Canvas.
