Electrical Systems Technology Instructor (10 month)
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Electrical Systems Technology instructor. Qualified candidates will possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate evidence of flexible work experiences and a willingness to change; be open-minded, fair, and possess the ability to see multiple perspectives; be willing to take and manage risks and accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.
Electrical Systems Technology curriculum is designed to provide training for students interested in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems found in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. Coursework, most of which is hands-on, will include such topics as AC/DC theory, basic wiring practices, programmable logic controllers, industrial motor controls, applications of the National Electric Code, and other subjects as local needs require. Graduates should qualify for a variety of jobs as electricians assisting in the layout, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems.
Applicants must be able to instruct in the following areas: Basic Electrical Theory, National Electric Code, Motors & Controls, Programmable Logic Control, Residential & Commercial Wiring, and Photovoltaic Technology.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Electrical Systems Technology or closely related field. Extensive experience, well documented in the application packet, may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
- Three years of experience as an Electrician in the field.
- Communication skills, both oral and written.
- Computer proficiency; especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Five years of experience in the field as an Electrician.
- Electrical Contractors License.
- Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college. On-line teaching experience.
