Horticulture Technology Instructor (10 month)

Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Full-Time Faculty member for its Horticulture program. This position plays a vital role in preparing students for successful careers in the green industry by delivering high-quality instruction that blends applied theory with hands-on learning. This position will also be involved in the development and implementation of a new turf management program at FTCC. Instruction for these programs will be housed at both the FTCC Horticulture Educational Center and the turf management education center being built at the FTCC Trojan Fields at JP Riddle Stadium. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, workforce development, and community engagement, while supporting FTCC’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality education that meets the needs of Cumberland County and the surrounding region.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Horticulture Technology or related field.
• 3-5 years experience in a horticulture related occupation.
• Extensive experience, well documented in the application packet, may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
• Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or related field.
• Experience with turf management
• Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college.
