Spring Lake, N.C. — August 20, 2026 — AQ'S Corner LLC has contributed public comments to the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Request for Information on modernizing the National Vulnerability Database in the age of artificial intelligence. The comments were publicly posted on Regulations.gov on August 20.

NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, is an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce that develops standards, guidelines, research, and resources used across government and industry, including widely used cybersecurity guidance.

AQ'S Corner’s response focused on how modernization of the National Vulnerability Database can account for AI-enabled automation while preserving meaningful human review, traceability, and responsible decision-making. The comments also addressed contextual risk prioritization, remediation safeguards, and making vulnerability information more useful to small and resource-constrained organizations.

“Small organizations depend on technology every day, but many do not have dedicated cybersecurity teams helping them determine which vulnerabilities apply to them, what requires immediate attention, or which information they can trust,” said Aqueelah Emanuel, Founder and CEO of AQ'S Corner. “As AI becomes a larger part of vulnerability management, modernization should not only make systems faster.
