Tier II Reporting Season, Jan 1 - March 1, 2026
Tier II Reporting Season Is Around the Corner, Start Preparing Now
Does your business or facility store, use, or manufacture hazardous chemicals on site? If so, you may be required to submit a Tier II report under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).
Each year, thousands of facilities submit Tier II reports to ensure first responders have accurate, up-to-date information in the event of a chemical emergency. This information supports safer planning, training, and response across our community.
2025 Reporting Year Timeline (North Carolina):
Reporting opens: January 1, 2026
Reporting closes: Midnight on March 1, 2026
Facilities that store hazardous chemicals above federal threshold quantities should begin reviewing their inventories now to avoid the February rush.
Not sure if Tier II applies to your facility? That’s okay, help is available.
