Community Development Public Comment Period for CAPER

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – In a continued effort to enhance citizen participation, Cumberland County Community Development (CCCD) has made available for review and comment a draft of the Program Year (PY) 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) from Sept. 15 to Sept. 30, 2025. 

The CAPER provides information about Cumberland County’s use of the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership Act grant funds during PY2024 (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025). This information gives the county an opportunity to evaluate overall progress in carrying out the priorities and specific objectives identified. All citizens are encouraged to review the document and offer comments.

Draft copies of the CAPER will be available for view at the participating municipal town halls:

  • Eastover Town Hall: 3863 Dunn Road, Eastover, NC

  • Falcon Town Hall: 7156 South West St., Falcon, NC

  • Godwin Town Hall: 4924 Markham St., Godwin, NC

  • Hope Mills Town Hall: 5770 Rockfish Road, Hope Mills, NC

  • Linden Town Hall: 9456 Academy St., Linden, NC

  • Spring Lake Town Hall: 300 Ruth St., Spring Lake, NC

  • Stedman Town Hall: 5110 Front St., Stedman, NC

  • Wade Town Hall: 7128 Main St., Wade, NC

Residents are encouraged to call their town hall for hours of operation. The CAPER will also be available for review on Cumberland County’s website at www.cumberlandcountync.gov/communitydevelopment.

The final version of the CAPER, as submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), will be available at the Cumberland County Clerk’s office, located on the 5th floor of the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse at 117 Dick St. in Fayetteville. The CAPER will also be available at the Community Development office, located at 707 Executive Place, Fayetteville. The final CAPER will also be available online after Sept. 30 on the county’s website at www.cumberlandcountync.gov/communitydevelopment
