DSP – Direct Support Professional / Residential Home Services

Job description:

We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our residential services team. DSPs provide essential daily support to adults with IDD in a group home setting — promoting independence, ensuring health and safety, and enhancing quality of life.



Key Responsibilities:

  • -Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals, etc.).

  • -Support individuals in achieving personal goals and developing independent living skills.

  • -Assist with medication administration in accordance with training and policy.

  • -Transport individuals to appointments, community activities, and employment programs.

  • -Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment.

  • -Complete required documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and attendance logs.

  • -Follow individual support plans and behavior strategies as directed by the Qualified Professional (QP).

  • -Promote dignity, respect, and inclusion for all residents.




Qualifications:

  • -High School Diploma or GED (required).

  • -At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with IDD or preferred related field.

  • -Valid North Carolina Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

  • -Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and required training certifications.

  • -Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.

  • -Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Schedule:

  • -Full-time and part-time positions; 2nd and 3rd shift available. Weekend positions consist of 12-hour shifts.

  • -Must have flexibility for occasional overtime or coverage needs.



Compensation & Benefits:    

  • -Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

  • -Competitive hourly wage based on experience and certifications.
