Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Chemistry Instructor to join our dynamic faculty. This critical role plays an essential part in preparing our Allied Health and transfer students for success in their academic and professional journeys.

Position Highlights:
  • Impactful Teaching Across Formats: Deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction in Chemistry across multiple formats—including online, hybrid, blended, and in-person—catering to diverse student learning needs and preferences.
  • Advising for Student Success: Serve as an academic advisor, guiding students on their educational pathways, helping them navigate their academic goals, and supporting their success within the Nursing, Allied Health, and other health-related programs.
  • State-of-the-Art Resources: Leverage FTCC’s tools and technology, providing students with an enriched learning environment that fosters deep engagement and understanding.

  • Innovative Curriculum Development: Participate in the ongoing evolution of the chemistry curriculum, ensuring it reflects current best practices and meets the needs of diverse learners.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • Proven experience teaching Chemistry at the collegiate level across various instructional formats.
  • Strong commitment to innovative and engaging teaching methods, including the use of advanced chemical instructional tools.
  • Experience in academic advising, with a student-centered approach to guiding learners toward success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary work, especially in partnership with FTCC’s healthcare and funeral services programs.
