Cumberland County High School Financial Literacy Boot Camp & Real-World Simulation

Money Box Academy Inc., in partnership with the City of Fayetteville, ACT, and the FTCC Innovation Center, presents the Cumberland County High School Financial Literacy Boot Camp—a first-of-its-kind experience designed to empower high school students with essential financial skills before graduation.

Taking place over five days, this engaging boot camp will cover critical topics including budgeting, credit management, saving, investing, and smart financial planning. Students will receive interactive instruction, access real-world tools, and hear directly from industry professionals to help them build a strong financial foundation.

The final day, Real-World Simulation Day, is a unique, hands-on experience where students are presented with career-aligned financial scenarios. With support from community partners—such as bankers, entrepreneurs, insurance agents, and investors—students will navigate life decisions and unexpected challenges that mirror adult financial responsibilities.

A live panel discussion will feature local employers, entrepreneurs, content creators, tradespeople, and investors who will share real stories and career insights, helping students understand the connection between financial wellness and career paths.
