Instructions
By applying for membership in the Consumer Protection Division (CPD), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
- You agree to comply with and support all policies, procedures, and guidelines of the CPD and to conduct business in alignment with the Mission and Vision of the organization.
- You agree to respond promptly and professionally to any complaint correspondence issued by the CPD and to make every reasonable effort to reach a fair and equitable resolution for all parties involved.
- You agree to maintain honesty, transparency, and integrity in all business practices and customer transactions.
- You agree to notify the CPD of any change in ownership or any material change to the information provided in your original application. CPD membership is non-transferable. In the event of a business ownership transfer, new owner(s) may reapply for membership after a twelve (12) month period from the date of transfer.
- You acknowledge that the CPD may receive and process consumer complaints from time to time. Acceptance into the CPD does not constitute endorsement of your business, firm, or product and may not be represented as such.
- You understand that the CPD does not possess legal authority, does not determine fault, and serves solely as a neutral mediator to assist in resolving disputes arising in the normal course of business.
Failure to comply with these terms may result in suspension or termination of CPD membership and all associated privileges. By signing the application, you affirm your agreement to these conditions.
