Primary Duties of a Residential Technician

Direct Care & Supervision

Provide day-to-day supervision and care for residents in the home.

Monitor resident activities to ensure safety and adherence to house rules.

Assist residents with daily living skills, such as hygiene, meal preparation, and chores.

Behavioral Support

Implement and follow behavior management plans as directed by clinical staff.

Provide de-escalation support and intervene during behavioral incidents using approved methods.

Document behavioral observations and incidents accurately.

Medication Administration

Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.

Monitor residents for medication side effects and report concerns.

Documentation & Reporting
-
Complete daily logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

Maintain records of resident progress, activities, and any notable changes in behavior.
