Events Coordinator

  • Responsible for the development and coordination of all Chamber and Military Affairs Council major events as determined by the President/CEO.
  • Works closely with the Marketing & Communications Coordinator in event promotions and collateral material to include but not limited to:
    • Signage
    • Programs
    • Scripts
    • Sponsorship recognition
  • Works closely with other departments as needed.
  • Assists Marketing Department in managing content on website and internal member-to-member site in ChamberMaster.
  • Recruits and coordinates volunteer committees to assist with the implementation of events
  • Other duties as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree or higher.  Experience with a similar membership-based organization helpful.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to details.
  • Must be able to work without direct supervision.
  • Experience in meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and to work with people in a variety of circumstances.
  • Must be a self-starter, flexible, motivated and willingness to take initiative.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with thorough knowledge of and experience in using all Microsoft Office products.
  • A willingness to learn ChamberMaster database.

Additional Notes

This is a part-time, hourly position that may develop into a full-time position.  There are no managerial duties with this position.  This position works closely with the Marketing & Communications department but reports directly to the President/CEO of the Greater Fayetteville Chamber.
