Lead Installer
Job Summary: The Lead Installer is responsible for overseeing the installation of HVAC systems, ensuring that all components are correctly and efficiently installed. This role involves leading a small crew, managing job sites, and directly reporting to supervisors to guarantee that all tasks are completed to the highest standards. The Lead Installer also performs system start-ups and safety commissioning according to manufacturer specifications.
Essential Job Functions:
- Sets ventilation, air conditioning, and environmental control equipment into place.
- Wires controls.
- Connects and installs piping and ductwork.
- Installs indoor and outdoor HVAC units, along with all required ductwork.
- Effectively reads and understands house layout to efficiently perform the job.
- Adjusts and balances distribution systems to achieve maximum energy efficiency.
- Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Leads a small crew, ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standards.
- Reports directly to the supervisor, maintaining clear communication and leadership.
- Starts up systems after installation and performs safety commissioning per manufacturer specifications.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Able to work overtime.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of HVAC installation experience.
- Valid Driver’s License with three years of experience.
- Clean background check.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions and outdoor conditions for long periods of time.
