Dental Hygiene Instructor

Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time exempt Dental Hygiene Instructor position. The Dental Hygiene curriculum prepares individuals with the knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate dental hygiene care of the individual and the community. Qualified candidates will possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate evidence of flexible work experiences and a willingness to change; be open-minded, fair, and possess the ability to see multiple perspectives; be willing to take risks and accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate in Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene and a Bachelors degree in any discipline.
• At least two years experience as a Dental Hygienist.
• Current North Carolina Dental Hygiene licensure.
• Must be certified to administer local anesthesia in North Carolina or complete certification within one year of hire. Must have begun or completed all required immunizations.
• Must possess current CPR card. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently within accepted Program and ADA Standards.
• Current ADHA membership and willingness to maintain. Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary.
• Must have expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Preferred Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Dental Hygiene or related field. Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college. On-line teaching experience.
